If you’ve ever been to HETT, you’ll know it doesn’t feel like your average show. That’s because it isn’t. Every year, the programme is carefully shaped by a network of health and care professionals who live and breathe the challenges of digital transformation in the NHS and wider healthcare system.
We know that for events like HETT to be genuinely useful, and not just another date in the diary, the content has to reflect what’s really happening across the sector. That’s why our agenda is built with the industry, by the industry.
Shaped by the People Doing the Work
The HETT agenda is co-created with our Steering Committee and Working Groups; a dedicated group of NHS digital leaders, health tech specialists, clinical informaticians, CIOs, CCIOs, CNIOs, and other experts working at the sharp end of care delivery and system change.
These contributors are not just there for show; they play a key role in helping us:
- Focus on the real priorities facing digital and clinical teams
- Explore what’s working (and what’s not) in practice
- Give space to emerging innovations and honest conversations
- Ensure different voices across the system are heard and included
By grounding our content in real experience, we’re able to make HETT a space where the right people come together to learn, connect and problem-solve, from trust-level digital teams to national bodies and tech suppliers.
A Space to Tackle What Matters
Whether it’s the realities of rolling out EPRs, getting to grips with AI and automation, or supporting staff through digital change, the challenges facing the sector are complex. But that’s exactly why the agenda needs to be built by those who understand the day-to-day context.
The themes we explore each year come directly from conversations with the community, through our steering committee, working groups, partnerships, and ongoing dialogue with NHS and social care colleagues across the UK.
And we don’t stop at what’s topical. We also look ahead, to what’s coming next, and how we can prepare now - together.
More Than an Event
For us, HETT isn’t just a couple of days of good conversations. It’s part of a much bigger effort to support digital transformation across the health and care system. Our contributors help us keep that mission alive throughout the year, by connecting communities, sharing learning, and opening doors to collaboration.
That sense of shared ownership and purpose is what makes HETT feel different, and what keeps people coming back.
