Reducing organisational inefficiencies of onboarding and pre-employment checks in the digital health space, Credentially will be exhibiting at HETT Show on 27-28 September 2022.
We caught up with Kit Latham, CEO, and co-founder of Credentially to discuss onboarding for clinicians and employment for healthcare organisations.
HETT: Thank you for taking the time to speak with us Kit. Tell us a bit about the current healthcare landscape, and how your organisation currently supports the health and care sector.
Kit Latham: Credentially helps healthcare providers reduce organisational inefficiencies of onboarding, pre-employment checks, and ongoing compliance through automation. Thus, employers and physicians can spend more time taking care of patients and improve patient safety. Credentially's customers take 5 days to sign-up, validate, and onboard clinicians compared to an industry average of 60 days.
HETT: Supporting the staffing process is vital! What are some of the biggest challenges that you have identified when working closely with your NHS/Care partners?
Kit Latham: Not that the NHS needs any more challenges, but a new one for this year is the Enhanced Access scheme that PCNs are obligated to fulfill this coming October. Building a staff bank large enough to cover extended hours is a gargantuan task, but our partners are finding that Credentially’s dramatically increased onboarding times are getting them on the front foot.
Another huge challenge that Credentially has been able to soothe is around practicing privileges. Given the fluidity of the candidate marketplace – especially during the pandemic and in the wake of it – verifying practicing privileges is a huge time sink for many NHS and care organisations, not to mention a big liability risk.
HETT: Tell us how working with your products and solutions can help tackle some of the challenges that exist within digital health.
Kit Latham: Every sector within healthcare has its own particular needs and challenges, which is why no two customers of Credentially have the exact same dashboard – we build solutions around their needs, rather than expect one size to fit all. But two commonalities across the entire industry are snail-paced onboarding times and time lost to manually checking compliance; we’ve solved this for a lot of people, but the dream is to become the standard solution for everyone.
HETT: We will be hosting HETT Connect again this year, enabling speakers to meet with exhibitors on a 1:1 basis. Who are you hoping to meet?
Kit Latham: We're hoping to meet anyone leading on onboarding and/or compliance for their healthcare organisation.
HETT: As HETT Show approaches (27-28 Sept @ExCeL London), tell us what you are looking forward to the most at HETT Show 2022.
Kit Latham: We look forward to having networking opportunities at the event.
HETT: Thank you for your time today, Kit Latham. It’s been a pleasure catching up with you and learning more about how Credentially to the evolution of the healthcare sector. We look forward to seeing you at HETT Show (27th & 28th September, ExCeL London)!
With many thanks to Dr Kit Latham and Credentially.
