The NHS 10-Year Health Plan, Fit for the Future, sets out a clear and ambitious vision for how digital infrastructure must better support a more integrated, patient-centred health system. Interoperability is at the heart of this vision – and this is something we’re passionate about at CLEO Systems!
As a supplier of digital solutions to the NHS and beyond – we are helping our customers transform Urgent Care, Community Prescribing and Patient Tracking. We work with trusts and providers to deliver interoperable, clinically-led digital tools - From patient flow to electronic prescribing - that simplify care delivery and improve outcomes. We see interoperability as vital to ensuring that data can be shared securely and effectively across organisational and care boundaries. As services continue to shift closer to home and clinicians move away from paper based systems, clinicians need access to consistent, real-time information to deliver safer, more efficient and coordinated care.
Interoperability has always been central to CLEO’s strategy. Clinicians working across urgent care, community services, outpatient settings and pharmacy require tools that work seamlessly across multiple systems. CLEO’s digital platforms are designed to operate across care settings, reducing duplication, speeding up treatment decisions and improving patient safety.
A really good example of this is the recent integration of our CLEO EPS with Access Rio, a future-proof EPR for community, mental and child health providers, which helps users improve outcomes by providing a holistic picture of patients at the point of care. Cleo EPS is an electronic prescribing solution designed for outpatient and urgent care settings, eliminating the need for paper prescriptions, cutting costs and improving sustainability. By integrating Cleo with Rio, clinicians can seamlessly launch Cleo EPS within Rio in the context of the current patient, enabling mental health, community and child health clinicians to issue prescriptions directly within their existing EPR without having to switch platforms or introducing additional steps.
As the NHS delivers its 10-year transformation, interoperable, agile and clinically focused digital solutions will be critical. CLEO remains committed to supporting the NHS and its partners by enabling joined-up care, reducing delays, and empowering clinicians with intelligent, connected technology - helping turn the vision of a truly integrated NHS into everyday reality.
The NHS 10 year plan ambitions closely align with CLEO Systems’ purpose and approach. CLEO works alongside NHS organisations to identify real challenges impacting patients, clinicians and operational teams and then deliver patient-centred solutions that address them quickly and effectively. Through close collaboration with partners, CLEO supports the development, piloting and scaling of digital solutions that improve service efficiency, empower clinicians and enhance patient experience.
As the NHS aims to free up valuable clinical time and improve decision-making, we know these digital tools can help patients access the right care at the right time, while supporting clinicians with accurate data and intelligent workflows, will be essential to achieving these goals.
Meet CLEO Systems at the HETT Leaders’ Summit
CLEO Systems will be joining us at the HETT Leaders’ Summit in Leeds this February, where health and care leaders will be exploring how interoperability, digital infrastructure and integrated care can be delivered in practice.
If you’re attending the Summit, this is an opportunity to connect with the CLEO team at stand A24, discuss real-world interoperability challenges, and learn more about how clinically led digital solutions are supporting urgent care, community services and patient flow across the NHS.
