Invitation-only summit for NHS Chief and Director-level leaders returns to the Royal Armouries, Leeds, on Thursday 11th February 2027
Applications are now open for HETT Leaders' Summit 2027, the one-day summit for senior leaders across the NHS, integrated care boards and national health bodies. The summit takes place on 11th February 2027 at the Royal Armouries in Leeds.
The summit is deliberately small and senior. Places are reviewed and reserved for Chief and Director-level leaders, bringing together more than 250 decision-makers responsible for digital, clinical, operational and financial strategy across health and care.
Built for conversation, not presentation
The day opens with a keynote and a plenary panel on the big questions facing the system. From late morning, delegates choose their own route through two rounds of closed-door roundtables, and practical workshops, chaired by NHS leaders.
The main theatre breaks from the usual conference format too. Sessions include an open ‘Ask Us Anything’ town hall where the audience sets the agenda, a live debate, a candid look at what has failed and what was learned, and a live case room where delegates vote on how they would handle a real-world challenge.
The 2027 programme is built around four themes:
- Strategic commissioning: how commissioning must change as ICB roles evolve and the NHS shifts towards prevention and neighbourhood health
- Finance and procurement, digital accountability and risk: balancing immediate pressures with long-term investment, and establishing accountability for shared data and systems
- AI and innovation: moving from pilot to safe, scalable implementation, and where responsibility sits between NHS organisations and technology providers
- Organisational efficiency, productivity and stability: practical lessons from high-performing trusts and neighbourhood health systems
Steven Everett, Portfolio Director at HETT, said: “Senior leaders don’t need another stage to listen from. They need a room where they can test ideas with peers who carry the same responsibilities. Almost every session at the summit asks delegates to take part, whether that’s around a table with fellow leaders, voting in the live case room or putting their own questions to the panel.”
Millie Savage, Content Manager at HETT, said: “We've kept the summit small intentionally. Every application is reviewed, every roundtable is capped. The format is targeted to enable pragmatic conversations, with more time to talk and have your say, than listen. We're delighted to be back in Leeds, which is a thriving and active hub of health technology and digital innovation, with direct links from London and across the North.”
The full agenda and keynote speakers will be announced mid-November, following that in January, delegates will also be able to choose their roundtable and workshop sessions.
Applications close at 12:00 on Tuesday 9th February 2027. NHS and public-sector leaders can apply for free.
